Educational programme to provide professionals with new insights into key business, technology and regulatory developments impacting the European payments industry.
The EBA regularly organises educational seminars on payments-related topics. The main objective of this educational programme is to provide professionals with new insights into key business, technology and regulatory developments impacting the European payments industry. The courses combine interactive group work with lectures and presentations delivered by academics and practitioners. The faculty at the EBA seminars includes senior experts from banks, universities, corporations, law firms, consultancies, or IT and infrastructure providers.

New technologies, such as artificial intelligence, home assistants, smart appliances and vehicles, are expected to require banks to process many more payments (with lower average values) than they do today. This panel will discuss how payment products and payment infrastructures need to evolve to deliver embedded, smart payments for the Internet of things.
